Vasileios Karalekas

Vasileios joined Waystone in 2014 and has served as a Managing Director since 2021. In his current role, he is the Product Head for Portfolio Solutions within Waystone’s Regulated Fund Solutions business. Vasileios is responsible for structuring portfolio management solutions across asset classes for Waystone’s clients, implementing best-in-class solutions for portfolio risk monitoring and asset valuation.

Vasileios also serves as a Director on the boards of Waystone Management Company (Lux) S.A. and Waystone Management UK Ltd. Prior to his current position, he spent three years as European Head of Investment Risk Management at Waystone.

With over 10 years of experience in the financial sector, his expertise spans a broad range of asset classes and strategies. His experience includes valuation and risk modelling across derivatives, structured credit, and other liquid strategies, as well as alternative assets such as loan origination and real estate.

Vasileios holds a PhD in Applied Physics from Aston University, Birmingham, alongside a Master of Research and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the same institution. He also holds an MSc in Finance from Imperial College London.
