Our success depends upon our ability to attract the best people and provide them with the opportunities for their professional development.

We look for high energy and a passion to succeed and we offer employees a competitive compensation programme, a comprehensive benefits package and a wide range of professional development opportunities.

Waystone is currently looking to expand its business in Nottingham, UK to build upon the exceptional team Waystone has already established in the UK, both in London and Nottingham. We are seeking candidates with experience across a number of functions and departments, including:

      Investment Risk

Working within a European risk desk with an ACD mandate and FCA regulatory knowledge base. Ensuring funds are compliant with their regulatory and prospectus limits. Measuring liquidity, leverage, VaR and performing stress testing and back testing. Performing pre-trade analysis of asset eligibility with the portfolio managers. Providing solutions for new funds being onboarded and working with stakeholders on implementation of regulatory change.

      Delegate Oversight

Ensuring a robust oversight regime is in place. This will focus on undertaking initial and ongoing oversight on the delegates of funds: the investment manager, fund administrator and the fund distributor. The oversight is both long-form in terms of desk-top and on-site due diligence but also in the creation of effective challenge from a robust KPI programme of activity. The Delegate Oversight function requires someone with a risk-based mind-set to ensure focus is applied on the appropriate areas of challenge and an ability to simplify the output from their oversight work for the ACD board and other stakeholders.

      Client Management

Client management is strategic and tactical thinking on behalf of the client. This requires the candidate to have a holistic understanding of the funds industry and be cognisant of upcoming challenges. The function requires someone to navigate Waystone on behalf of the client to ensure their interaction with Waystone is simplified and maximises the benefits of working with someone of the scale and reach of Waystone.

      Transfer Agency Oversight

Acting as a gatekeeper for capital flows on funds. Working pre-emptively with distribution platforms and sponsors to ensure an optimal investor experience through their lifecycle. Ensuring client money accounts are reconciled daily and exceptions are escalated accordingly. Performing ongoing oversight on the Transfer Agent appointed to the fund.

      Compliance

The discharge of an independent and robust 2nd line of defence control function with reporting line directly to the ACD board. A focus on AML climate, regulatory change, regulatory policy design, implementation and evolution. Performing testing of the 1st line of defence through a compliance monitoring programme and mandatory training.

Waystone’s Employee Share Option Plan (ESOP)

Waystone is delighted to launch its Employee Share Option Plan (ESOP) in April 2023.

Our investors, board and senior management wanted to ensure that all staff contributing to Waystone’s continued growth will have a co-ownership stake in the Group.

The establishment of an ESOP for our employees is a significant milestone for the Waystone Group and we are delighted to be able to offer this scheme as an additional benefit to supplement our existing, competitive employee benefits package.
