Samantha Fletcher-Watts

Samantha Fletcher-Watts is Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”), Cayman and the Americas, at Waystone and has over 20 years of experience as a hedge funds professional. Sam began working on the third-party administration side of the business, before progressing to senior management level, subsequently working for an asset manager, as a regulatory consultant, and within Transfer Agency.

Sam is based in the Cayman Islands and has a detailed knowledge of global regulatory compliance for the investment funds industry, having held senior risk and compliance positions in several jurisdictions.

Before her transfer to the Cayman Islands, Sam was Waystone’s Regional Head of Compliance for Europe. Prior to joining Waystone, Sam worked as Assistant Vice President, Risk and Compliance for IFDS (Ireland) Ltd, (a State Street JV company) with responsibility for regulatory compliance and regulatory change. Prior to this she worked as a Business Consultant for Sator Regulatory Consulting Limited, based in Jersey, providing compliance analysis and support services to a number of different regulated entities.

In prior roles, Sam was employed by Ermitage Asset Management Jersey Ltd. for over three years, serving as Vice President, Middle Office, Chief Compliance Officer (MLRO, MLCO) and later as Vice President, Compliance and Projects.

Sam gained significant experience in the Luxembourg market, where she worked for HSBC Securities Services Luxembourg S.A., as Senior Manager, Fund Administration, at Liberty Ermitage Luxembourg S.A. as Fund Operations Manager and Director and with Citco Fund Services Ltd, serving as a Director. She also worked with Citco in its Geneva and Curacao offices.

Sam is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, holds an International Diploma in Compliance and a Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection from PDP.
