Jessica (Jie) Jiang is an experienced compliance professional with over 10 years of experience working across a wide range of financial vehicles, with a focus on risk control processes.
Jessica joined Waystone in 2022 and is responsible for proactively managing and supporting fund clients and related stakeholders. Jessica supports existing and new clients, providing advice, guidance, and support across the business, as well as assisting with the internal and operating controls within Waystone.
As the Associate Director, Compliance Services, Jessica serves as an AML Compliance Officer (AMLCO), Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and/or Deputy MLRO (DMLRO) for a diverse portfolio of funds with a broad range of investment strategies. Fund clients include hedge funds, funds of funds, private equity funds, private credit funds and real estate funds managed by investment advisors located primarily in the North American, South American, and Caribbean regions. In her capacity as AMLCO, Jessica is responsible for overseeing AML compliance programmes and assisting funds in meeting their Cayman Islands regulatory requirements.
Prior to joining Waystone, Jessica held the role of Manager, RAS and AML Compliance Team Lead at BDO, Cayman Islands, where she provided compliance-related assurance services to clients including the delivery of internal audit and regulatory assessments such as AML/KYC. Previously, Jessica held the role of Risk Controller at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (SEB) in Riga, Latvia where she managed risk oversight including liaising with both internal and external global stakeholders on a variety of risk-related issues and initiatives.
Jessica holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Latvia and Bachelor’s degree of Public Administration from Southern Medical University. In addition, Jessica is a Project Management Professional (PMP®) and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
