Aine McClelland
Associate Director
Aine joined Waystone in January 2018 and has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of UCITS and AIFMD fund structures across Ireland, the Cayman Islands, Luxembourg and Spain.
In her current role as Associate Director in Waystone’s Dublin office, Aine is responsible for the onboarding of Waystone Management Company (IE) Limited’s management company clients. Aine manages the onboarding process from business development stage through to launch for a portfolio of tier one clients, with a particular focus on US and UK based institutional managers operating a variety of strategies (private equity, loan and debt funds, equities). Aine also leads the onboarding for clients of Waystone Asset Management (IE) Limited, Waystone’s MiFID company.
Prior to joining Waystone, Aine worked in Citibank’s Securities & Fund Services Legal Team, negotiating a wide variety of legal agreements across custody, depositary, fund administration and transfer agency products in Ireland, the UK and Luxembourg for tier one institutional clients. Prior to this, Aine worked as a Paralegal in Allen & Overy’s Business Protection Unit where she managed internal risk through the negotiation of service provider contracts, maintaining a wide variety of risk management policies and assisting the data protection and company secretarial functions.
Aine has a LLB in Law & Politics from the University of Ulster and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Law, London. Aine obtained the Professional Diploma in Asset Management from the Institute of Bankers in 2019 and is a member of the Irish Funds Member Engagement Working Group.
