Yan Siu (Paco) Yik

Paco Yik joined Waystone in 2019 and serves as an Independent Director based in Hong Kong. Paco is responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of funds with a broad range of investment strategies including hedge funds, funds of funds, private equity funds and real estate funds.

Paco has extensive experience in providing governance, regulatory and compliance services to investment companies and his expertise includes overseeing and providing guidance for a variety of situations, including new fund launches primarily for Asia-based investment managers. He also reviews key fund documentation, agreements and side letters, in addition to overseeing financial reporting and managing the performance of key service providers. Drawing on his background in fund administration, Paco’s brings strong expertise in regulatory compliance and service provider oversight.

Prior to joining Waystone, Paco held the role of Client Services Manager with a fund administrator and was responsible for a portfolio of hedge funds and private equity funds, including reviewing offering documents and assisting investment managers with their fund setup and operational needs.

Paco holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He is a Registered Director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA). Paco is a native Cantonese speaker and is fluent in English and Mandarin.
