Wai Shan (Connie) Wong CPA
Executive Director
Connie Wong is an Executive Director based in the Singapore operation where she oversees strategic partnerships and business growth for the Asia-Pacific region. Connie also serves as an independent director to Asia-based hedge funds, private equity funds and venture capital funds with varying structure and investment strategies across multiple jurisdictions.
Connie joined Waystone in 2015 and was based initially in the Cayman Islands office, before subsequently moving to roles based in the Hong Kong and Singapore operations.
Prior to joining Waystone, Connie was a manager of the Finance and Fund Referred Reporting Engagement Group at PwC in the Cayman Islands, where she managed the finance operations for the Cayman Islands and Bahamas offices and liaised on financial and operating matters with all business units within the company, including the Caribbean region. While at PwC, Connie managed a portfolio of hedge fund clients in North America and managed the financial reporting requirements of investment funds across jurisdictions such as the Cayman Islands, North America and Luxembourg. Connie was also responsible for reviewing the financial statements of CIMA registered funds received from the global PwC network.
In addition to her native Cantonese, Connie is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese and Hokkien/Taiwanese.

- Serving as General Partner and Investment Advisory Committee member to private funds and sidecar funds investing in early-stage companies and growth-stage companies with areas within digital media, social media and entertainment, healthcare and technology innovation, sponsored by the leading, earliest venture investors in China.
- Serving as independent director to private funds investing in bonds and structured notes, sponsored by an investment manager affiliated to a non-state-owned bank listed in Hong Kong.
- Assisted in privatisation deals and the sales to private equity firms with transaction values over $Bns, including Asia’s recent largest private equity buyout consortium deal of $12 Bn.
