Paul Burke
Executive Director, Head of Fund Accounting Ireland
Paul is a Central Bank of Ireland approved professional (PCF-34) with over 26 years of operational improvements, technology adoption and client facing experience in the financial services sector. Paul has strong leadership skills, managing diverse performing teams.
He is Head of Fund Accounting Ireland with Waystone Administration Solutions. In his career to date has led / significantly contributed to various strategic projects across data vendors, procurement, finance, learning & development, outsourcing, HR initiatives, operational resilience, and cyber security.
He has worked globally in previous fund administration roles, with Citi and BNP Paribas on a variation of fund types (including hedge / alternatives, UCITS/AIFs) and asset classes, servicing a global reach of clients and investor bases. He also has merger and acquisition experience from Capita plc and Link Group initiatives, in helping driving change with a growth mindset.
He is a qualified accountant (FCCA) with a first-class honours Bachelor of Business (specialising in Economics and Finance) degree from South East Technological University. He is Chair of Irish Funds Emerging Tech & Innovation working group for a 2nd term and Chair of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) Business Leaders Forum panel.
Finally he is an avid swimmer and recently took third place in the annual historic Liffey swim in Dublin (2021).
