      Niall O’Dowd is an Executive Director based in the Cayman Islands. Niall leads Waystone Market Access (Cayman), a regulated, investment management company which provides hosted management company and economic substance solutions to a variety of investment advisors.

      Niall provides Independent Director services to hedge, private equity, venture capital, private credit and real estate funds with a wide variety of structures and strategies and has experience of fund-related governance matters on regulated European, Cayman and other offshore vehicles. Niall’s expertise includes overseeing and providing guidance for new fund launches and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. In addition to leading board meetings, Niall reviews key fund documentation, agreements and side letters, manages the performance of key service providers and oversees financial reporting, including the fair valuation of illiquid or hard-to-value investments.

      Prior to joining Waystone, Niall worked as Deputy Group Head at MUFG Alternative Fund Services Ireland (previously UBS Fund Services Ireland) where he managed a team of accountants in a client-facing role, overseeing assets in excess of US$3 Bn. Niall began his career working with HSBC Securities Services in Dublin.

      • Attending to investor due diligence, both HNW and institutional.
