Laura O’Connell
Chief People Officer
As Chief People Officer, Laura leads Waystone’s global personnel strategy. Having joined Waystone a decade ago, Laura is responsible for driving HR strategy including Organisation Design, Culture and Engagement, Talent Management, Reward and Recognition and Employee Well Being. Laura started her Waystone tenure in the Cayman Islands office, before returning to Dublin to assist in the buildout of Waystone Group globally.
Before joining Waystone, Laura spent 5 years at Deloitte & Touche in Dublin, supporting Audit and Tax practice HR requirements and 3 years at Microsoft Ireland.
Laura holds a BA in Business Studies (Human Resources) from the University of Limerick. With a keen interest in employment law, Laura holds multiple law certificates covering Ireland, the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Cayman Islands, and the US. Laura is also a certified StrengthsFinder professional.
