Joanne Fung
Associate Director: Compliance Services
Joanne joined Waystone in 2020, bringing with her extensive experience in fund administration and compliance with a focus on local regulations and client onboarding. Prior to joining Waystone, Joanne spent over five years at Maples Group, where she worked as Vice President and Team Leader of KYC and AEOI Team, supervising a team of six and working closely with the investment manager on account opening procedures, local regulations and managing client onboarding.
As Associate Director, Compliance Services, Joanne serves as an AML Compliance Officer (AMLCO), Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and/or Deputy MLRO (DMLRO) for a diverse portfolio of funds with a broad range of investment strategies. Fund clients include hedge funds, funds of funds, private equity funds, private credit funds and real estate funds managed by investment advisors located primarily in the Asia-Pacific region. Joanne is also responsible for overseeing AML Compliance Programs and overseeing their regular audits.
Joanne has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis.
