James Bowers

James Bowers is Chief Executive Officer of Waystone Management UK (WMUK) and has more than 30 years’ experience in the asset management and fund servicing industries. He has extensive experience across product, distribution and governance, having held senior leadership positions at a number of leading asset management firms.

As Chief Executive Officer of WMUK, James leads Waystone’s UK Authorised Corporate Director (ACD) business, supporting its continued growth and development in the UK market. He brings significant leadership, product and commercial expertise to the role, alongside extensive experience of fund governance and oversight.

Prior to joining Waystone, James was Managing Director, Head of Global Wealth Platforms at Principal Asset Management, where he was responsible for the strategy, growth and commercial development of its global funds platform. Based across London and Dublin, he managed teams in both locations and served as a director on UCITS and AIF boards.

Previously, James spent more than a decade at Janus Henderson Investors, where he held a number of senior leadership roles, including Global Head of Product.
