Gordon Shaw

Gordon is the Managing Director of the UK alternative funds services business where he has overseen the growth and development of the offering that provides an extensive range of class leading accounting and administration services to real estate funds, investment trusts, VCT’s, real assets and private equity funds. The business also offers bespoke typesetting and production of financial and regulatory reports together with the design and development of marketing materials.

Gordon joined Waystone in 2023 as part of the acquisition of Link Fund Solutions and had previously held senior positions in the alternative fund administration space including COO, Regional Head of Europe and Asia/Pacific at ABN-AMRO / Fortis Fund Solutions and Global Head of Banking & Custody at Credit Suisse Fund Solutions. He brings a wealth of experience in servicing a wide range of fund strategies, structures and domiciles, having worked in the alternative funds sector for almost three decades in London, Hong Kong, the Cayman Islands, Curacao, New York and Amsterdam.

Gordon graduated in Law from the University of Aberdeen and thereafter trained and qualified as a Scottish Chartered Accountant in Glasgow. He has contributed to industry bodies in a number of jurisdictions and more recently as a member of the Association of Investment Companies’ onshore alternatives regime group that advised the UK Treasury.
