Damian Haier is Director, Operational Risk at Waystone and is based in the Dublin office. Damian joined Waystone in 2019 and has a wealth of experience in operational risk and client onboarding and its associated policies and procedures.
At Waystone, Damian monitors fund activities to ensure all investment guidelines and regulations are being adhered to. Damian is involved in the oversight of all operational aspects from a risk perspective, constant discussion with and escalation where required to the various Boards of Directors. In addition, Damian arranges annual due diligence onsite for all delegated parties and acts as a full member of Waystone’s Risk & Compliance Committee.
Previously, Damian held the role of Director EMEA Client Integration at State Street-AIS, working closely with the team of Relationship Managers to manage client expectations and successfully manage the thorough onboarding process of all new fund launches.
Damian holds a Diploma in Financial Services from the Institute of Bankers & UCD and a Professional Certificate in Investment Fund Services from the Institute of Bankers.
