This marks positive progress, achieved particularly in the emissions we can influence most directly, but also highlights where our biggest challenge sits: most of our footprint is in Scope 3, across the wider value chain that supports our business.
This page sets out what is included in our footprint, how our emissions have changed over the last three years, and how we are progressing against our science-based targets.

This confirms that our climate ambition is aligned with the latest science to limit global warming to 1.5°C. The SBTi has also verified Waystone’s net-zero science-based target.
By 2035, we are targeting a 63% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions and a 38% reduction in Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions, from a 2023 baseline. By 2050, we are targeting a 100% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions, a 90% reduction in Scope 3 emissions, and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our value chain.

By the end of 2025, our Scope 1 and 2 emissions had fallen from our 2023 base year. This progress has been supported by renewable electricity instruments, energy efficiency activity across our offices and continued engagement with landlords on how energy is used and managed in the buildings we occupy.
