Karima Smaini is Head of Legal and Corporate Administration at Waystone Fund Management (Lux) S.A.
Karima holds a Master’s degree in Business Law and Tax and has over 15 years of experience in the Luxembourg fund industry.
Prior to joining BIL Manage Invest S.A. (“BMI”), Karima was Head of Legal at a third-party SuperManCo. She also worked for several years at Deloitte as a regulatory expert and specialist in cross-border fund distribution (UCITS and AIFs) and held legal positions in Luxembourg and Paris with Nomura Bank, CACEIS, and Allianz Banque.
Karima leads the Legal Department and serves as Secretary General, overseeing all legal and corporate matters related to BMI and the funds under management. She is also an expert in ESG regulation.
