Kai has 20 years’ experience in the asset management industry. He started his career at KPMG advising Asset Managers and then joined Fleming Asset Management, which then merged with JPMorgan Asset Management. At Merrill Lynch Investment Management (which was then acquired by BlackRock), he became Managing Director and was responsible for leading the Sales Team. He then moved to Carmignac to become Country Head for Germany and Austria and to open the German office. At Fulcrum Asset Management, he was responsible for all business in Germany and Austria. Kai joined Montlake in May 2019 as Country Head for the region. Kai worked with institutional as well as with wholesale clients and has extensive knowledge about Long Only as well as Alternative Assets.
Kai studied Economics in Frankfurt and visited the Wharton University of Pennsylvania. He is member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Association (CAIA) and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) of the UKs Association of Investment Professionals.
