Bjorn is the Managing Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Waystone’s MiFID distribution firm in Malta.
Bjorn has held a number of roles in various segments of the investment services industry for over a decade. During this time, he has acquired skills in advisory and structuring, risk management, fund administration and valuation, compliance, AML/CFT and governance. Bjorn has been approved by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) for roles as Director, Risk Manager, Valuation Officer, MLRO and Compliance Officer for various financial services firms.
Prior to joining KBA, Bjorn acted as managing director and COO for a Maltese AIFM and also worked within fund administration as Head of Fund Services for two MFSA recognised fund administrators.
Bjorn is a qualified accountant from the University of Malta and holds a Diploma in Fund Administration from the University of Manchester. Bjorn is a member of the Malta Accountancy Board and the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
