Alessandro Gaburri
Conducting Officer
Alessandro Gaburri joined Waystone in 2012 as a Senior Risk Manager. He is now one of the Conducting Officers of Waystone Management Company (Lux) S.A. and is, in addition, Co-Head of the Risk and Client Services team. As Conducting Officer Alessandro is responsible for the oversight of all delegates of the management company including Central Administrators, Registrars, Distributors and Fund Administrators. As Co-Head of the Risk and Client Services team, he is responsible for supervising the team of risk management professionals providing a comprehensive suite of risk management and client support services to a wide range of UCITS and AIFs, from plain vanilla to bespoke derivative strategies and from liquid to illiquid assets.
Prior to joining Waystone, Alessandro was the Senior Risk Controller at Anima SGR (ex-BPM Gestioni SGR) and started his career as Market & Operational Risk Controller, BNL Gestioni SGR pA in Italy.
Alessandro graduated from SDA Bocconi in Milan with a master’s in Administrative and Management Control. He has a university degree in Banking, Finance and Insurance Economy from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and attended courses in Financial Economics, Financial Institutions and Corporate Finance at the Universitat Popeu Fabra, Barcelona. A native Italian speaker, Alessandro is also fluent in English, French and Spanish.
